Lake Bohinj is positioned within the Julian Alps not far from lake Bled.
It is close towards the border with Italy and Austria in the northwest of Slovenia. The Bohinj region is very beautiful. The water from the lake is of the deepest blue. The hike up towards the Bohinj falls is intense, but enjoyable.
